Menu

School has started, there's a chill in the air, and yes, it's time for Chicken Marbella once again. Don't you just love Autumn?

Please choose 6 or 12 items from the choices below. Be adventurous and choose 6 or 12 different things, or select several of the same dish if it really appeals to you. For logistics reasons, you can choose the same item up to two times.

Chicken Marbella
The weather is getting cooler so it's time again for this delicious chicken, the most requested dish in our history, by far.  Bone-in chicken pieces flavored with green olives, capers and dried plums. May sound unusual but trust us, this Mediterranean-inspired chicken is a crowd pleaser, (and if somebody doesn't like olives or prunes, they are easy to scrape off!). Bakes in the oven.
(low carb w/o prunes- easy to split - easy at home - relatively kid friendly)

Roast Beef with Gremolata Rub ~ $5 supplement ($5.18 w/tax)
A dry version of gremolata, an Italian mix of parsley, garlic and lemon, gets rubbed all over an eye round roast that's at least 2 lbs. Great way to make an everyday meal a bit more special. Leftovers are perfect for sandwiches. Roasts in the oven.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly)

Lasagna Rolls Florentine
Spinach, fresh mushrooms and ricotta cheese wrapped in lasagna noodles and then covered in tomato sauce and parmesan. A recipe that will please both vegetarians and meat-eaters, this is a great way to get your kids to eat their veggies. Cooks on the stovetop and the microwave.
(vegetarian - easy to split - a bit harder at home - kid friendly if they eat spinach - full meal)

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Mustard and Molasses ~ NEW!
Don't store your grill for the winter quite yet. This very easy dish is sure to be a crowd pleaser: I served it at a dinner party where we sampled four different pork tenderloin recipes and this was everybody's favorite. In this dish we use a marinade to tenderize the pork and then reduce it into a savory sauce with hints of mustard and molasses. Grill the pork (or roast it if you want) and use the stovetop for the sauce.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly)

Traci's Chicken Pot Pie
After the arrival of each of my kids, my neighbor, and friend, Traci delivered a chicken pot pie to our doors.  It was so good it almost made up for the sleepless nights. This recipe is based on hers and had become a favorite at Dinner by the Dozen over the years. Flaky pastry tops kid-friendly veggies and chicken in a creamy sauce. Cooks on the stovetop and oven. To make it healthier, we have omitted the bottom crust, but you won't miss it.
(cannot be split - more complicated at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Vegetarian Southwestern Spaghetti
With or without chicken this dish will be very popular with your family.  Tomato sauce, cheese, corn, and beans top spaghetti in this easy-to-put-together dish.  If you can boil water you can make this! Cooks on your stovetop.
(vegetarian - easy to split - so easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Southwestern Spaghetti with Chicken
Same as above but with cubed chicken breasts to make it even more filling.
(easy to split - so easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Southwestern Spaghetti with Chorizo
Same as above but made spicier with the addition of chorizo sausage instead of the chicken breasts.
(easy to split - v. easy at home - full meal)

Bacon-Wrapped Pork Chops
We have redundantly paired pork and bacon, resulting in very moist pork chops. Rosemary, garlic and olive oil add a nice Mediterranean touch. Stovetop.
(easy to split - so easy at home - kid friendly)

Thai Chicken Legs
Chicken drumsticks seasoned with cilantro, fish sauce, hoisin sauce, coriander and garlic (among others) and served alongside spicy Thai sauce. Without the dipping sauce, the chicken legs are very family friendly. Grill for best results.

(easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly)

White Chicken Chili ~ $5 supplement ($5.18 w/tax) (and worth every penny)
Mild green chiles, white beans and lean chicken breasts make up the bulk of this wonderful white chili. Mild or hot - you add the hot sauce to your liking. Wonderful on a cold day, this chili has lots of chicken in it so it's really hearty. Cooks on your stovetop, although some clients have tried it in their crockpots too.
(easy to split but it's better to cook the whole batch and freeze leftovers - relatively easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Pork Chops with Lemon Vodka Sauce
These flavorful boneless pork chops are served with a quick reduction sauce spiked with vodka, pepper and lemon juice. Very moist and lemony, this dish is a customer favorite. Cooks in a skillet.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home)

Chorizo and Beef Burgers with Spicy Mayo
Mix the spicy Mexican sausage Chorizo with some all-American ground beef and you've got a new twist on the backyard burger BBQ! These yummy burgers are served with a flavored mayo with Cajun seasonings and hot pepper sauce for a sure fire kick. Perfect for the grill.
(low carb w/o buns - easy to split - easy at home - full meal)

All-Beef Burgers with Spicy Mayo
Same dish as above, but without the chorizo. Heather's kids loved the burgers with the chorizo (sans the mayo of course, they stuck with good 'ole plan ketchup) but if you want, omit the chorizo, making them all-beef burger patties with just the seasonings and you're sure to please. Fire up the grill.
(low carb w/o buns - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Greek Chicken Rollatini ~  NEW!
Your family will think you are so fancy when you prepare this dish. First we halve each chicken breast to make it thin, then roll it around feta, roasted peppers and kalamata olives. At home, you sear the chicken rolls in a hot pan and finish by simmering them in chicken broth. Delicious!
(e
asy to split - relatively easy at home)

Three-Pepper Beef with Rice
A deliciously peppery stir fry loaded with bell peppers and lots of flavor.  We even provide the rice. Cooks on your stovetop.
(relatively easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Crunchy Tilapia Flavor Bar
We have been intrigued by breaded fish for a while - yeah, we have no life... Anyway, we finally came up a very simple recipe that delivers the right crunch. Kinda' white-trashy but very good! We will have a variety of coatings for you to choose from, featuring both cornmeal and multigrain bases, with seasonings ranging from chipotle to French onion to plain cheddar. Just choose in the kitchen. If you want, you can even coat each piece of fish in something different. Cooks in a skillet.
