July Menu

Summer is here. Kids are at home, and everybody wants to have fun. Let us worry about dinner and go and play!!!!

Please choose 6 or 12 items from the choices below. Be adventurous and choose 6 or 12 different things, or select several of the same dish if it really appeals to you.

VERY EASY AT HOME

Chicken Scallopini with Fresh Garden Herbs - one of the best sellers from last month
When you taste the fresh parsley and tarragon on these tender chicken breasts you won't believe this came from your freezer. A Dinner by the Dozen favorite. Since we cut the breasts in half horizontally they cook in  a flash - sauté or grill.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly)

Green Chile Burger Wraps
Lean ground beef paired with mild green chiles and Mexican seasonings. If your family is not into green chiles, just tell us to leave them out - they will still taste great. Just cook on the stovetop or grill, pile the salsa and shredded cheese on top, and wrap everything inside a flour tortilla for a different kind of cheeseburger.
(low carb w/o tortillas - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Chipotle BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
Chipotle lends an added spiciness and smokiness to the BBQ sauce coating these chicken legs. Grill or bake them and you are set for dinner.

(easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly)

Pizza Fiorentina
Inspired by the city of Florence, Italy, this pizza serves loads of veggies on top of pizza.  The dough is drizzled with extra virgin olive oil infused with Italian seasonings and topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, spinach, and fresh mushrooms. All you have to do is pop it in the oven.
(vegetarian - easy to split - so easy at home - kid friendly)

Red Hot Brats in Beer
Perfect for a lazy day. First, simmer the brats in a spicy beer mixture and then finish on the grill. We provide the buns too. This dish has a kick from the Red Hot sauce but it's not overwhelmingly spicy.

Chile-Orange Pork Kabobs
Oh my, are these good! Tender pork loin cubes are marinated with lots of dried herbs, orange marmalade, and New Mexico red chiles yielding incredible results. More smokey than spicy hot, they are definitely Dinner by the Dozen worthy. Grill for best results.

Spaghetti w/ Fresh Mint Pesto w/ Shrimp ~ NEW! $10 supplemental charge
We make this delicious pesto using fresh mint instead of the traditional basil, but we still use the traditional pine nuts, parmesan cheese, olive oil plus we add a touch of feta for creaminess. It goes great with pasta and lemony shrimp.
(relatively easy at home - full meal)

Spaghetti w/ Fresh Mint Pesto
Same dish than above but without the shrimp. Delicious and different! Give it a try.

A LITTLE BIT MORE INVOLVED AT HOME

Tilapia with Coconut Peanut Curry Sauce ~ $5 supplemental charge
A dish with lots of ingredients and an amazing flavor. Cook the tilapia in a skillet, make the sauce in another and there's no Thai restaurant that could compete with your creation. A bit on the spicy and exotic side, this dish may be too spicy for the very young ones.

Chicken with Coconut Peanut Curry Sauce ~ $3 supplemental charge
Same as above but for our clients who would prefer to have chicken instead of fish. We halve each chicken breast in half into scallopini, so they cook in a flash.

Skillet Beef Lasagna
There are summer days when you just don't want to deal with the grill, so here's a great alternative: traditional lasagna that comes together in a skillet and cooks on the stovetop. Wonderful and easy, it combines lean ground beef, Italian sausage, tomato sauce, noodles, ricotta, seasonings, and parmesan cheese.

Flank Steak Medellin ~ $2 suppl.
You'll swoon over this amazingly tender flank steak marinated in dark beer and spices, and served alongside an amazing salsa with cilantro and jalapenos. Sole worked in Medellin in 1992, when the search for Pablo Escobar, the drug lord, was at its height. They found him hiding 5 blocks from where she was living. This dish captures all the excitement of that place and time. Perfect for the grill.
