February Menu

Please choose 6 or 12 items from the choices below. Be adventurous and choose 6 or 12 different things, or select several of the same dish if it really appeals to you.

VERY EASY AT HOME

Brown Sugar Glazed WILD Salmon  ~ $7 additional
A wet rub made with brown sugar, soy sauce and bourbon glazes a large salmon filet that's ready for the grill (or oven's broiler). In spite of the bourbon, this dish is kid friendly yet is special enough for guests.
(easy to split - v. easy at home - kid friendly)

Lemon Oregano Chicken Breasts
A citrus rub flavors juicy, boneless chicken breasts that are ready to get grilled or sautéed.
(low carb - easy to split - v. easy at home - kid friendly)

Steaks with Mexican Mole Marinade ~ $3 additional
A delicious sauce and marinade flavors beef steaks, tenderizing the meat and infusing it with the flavors of soy sauce, chocolate, cilantro, garlic and chipotle. Grill.
(low carb - easy to split - v. easy at home)

Honey Molasses Drumsticks
Sticky but so good! These bone-in chicken legs are full of flavor thanks to this tangy glaze - the sweetness of the honey and molasses gets tempered by balsamic vinegar. Perfect for a winter picnic in your living room or a fun dinner. Forget the napkins and just lick your fingers. Cooks on your stovetop.
(easy to split - v. easy at home - kid friendly)

Southwestern Spaghetti
An easy and wholesome meal. Tomato sauce, black beans, cheese and corn top spaghetti pasta. Easy and great, if you can boil water you can prepare this meal. Cooks on your stovetop.
(vegetarian - easy to split - v. easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Pork Loin with Chimichurri Rub ~ NEW!
One of Dinner by the Dozen's most popular dishes is the flank steak with chimichurri. One evening while munching on this delicacy we said - hey, this rub would taste good on pork too!  So here it is: tender pork loin rubbed with a mixture of oregano, parsley, garlic, red pepper, and other secret seasonings. Inspired by Sole's country of origin: Argentina. Grill or bake in the oven.
(low carb - easy to split - v. easy at home - kid friendly)

Chocolate Molten Cakes
If you are like us, you swoon at the sight of a molten chocolate dessert on a menu. Who knew that making it at home could be this easy? Serve this on Valentine's Day or any other time that seems perfect for chocolate. The cakes have a hint of cinnamon, ginger and red wine too, but mostly it's all chocolate goodness. Add one of our artisanal ice-creams from Boulder Alchemy and you'll be all set. Bakes in the oven and you'll need 6 small ramekins or custard cups.
(vegetarian - cannot be split - v. easy at home - kids love it!)

Grilled Wild Salmon with Charmoula ~ $7 additional
An amazing Moroccan-inspired wet rub turns the salmon almost red while infusing it with the flavors of cilantro, cumin, garlic and paprika. We served this at a party and everybody loved it! In fact, it's one of my favorite rubs for salmon. Perfect for the grill.
(low carb - a bit harder to split - v. easy at home)

EASY AT HOME

Pinchos Morrunos
Ole, Ole!  These pork kabobs will have you dancing flamenco in no time. Infused with flavor, the tender meat is seasoned with eight different spices, garlic and olive oil. It showcases the rich heritage of Spanish cooking and shows Moorish influences.  Perfect for the grill but they work great on a skillet or under the broiler too.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home - moderately kid friendly)

Chicken Pinchos Morrunos ~ NEW!
Same as above but with chicken instead of pork.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home - moderately kid friendly)

Fish Tacos
Lime-seasoned tilapia fillets are paired with tangy salsa, shredded cheese and corn tortillas. This dish is very popular with our customers, and it's a great way to get your kids to eat fish! You'll feel like you are in Baja on vacation, margarita on hand. Cooks quickly in a skillet.
(low carb w/o tortillas - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Greek Burgers
A different kind of burger: seasoned ground meat with roasted peppers, spinach and optional feta cheese.  Ready to shape, cook/grill, and serve in pita bread halves drizzled with yogurt sauce (provided).
(cannot be split - easy at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Greek Meatloaf
One of our wonderful customers asked us if we could make the Greek burgers into a meatloaf.  We played with the recipe and here it is!  It has all the same ingredients as the burgers, including the optional feta cheese. For this dish, the pita bread gets baked in the oven with olive oil and zaatar (thyme and sesame seed herb mix) and served on the side. Free-form meatloaf bakes in the oven.
