Summer is still here even though the kiddos are already starting school. Enjoy summer while it lasts so let us worry about dinner and go out and play!!!!

Please choose 6 or 12 items from the choices below. Be adventurous and choose 6 or 12 different things, or select several of the same dish if it really appeals to you.

VERY EASY AT HOME

Zesty Drumsticks
Fine dining it's not, but these chicken drumsticks will have you and your family licking your fingers.  A zesty sauce with a touch of BBQ sauce, honey and garlic, flavor these chicken legs that bake in the oven or cook on the grill.

Cowboy Bean Salad
We are bringing this salad back since it's so wonderful in the warm summer months. This is just an amazing salad with a huge variety of beans (black, garbanzo, black-eyed peas) and veggies (bell peppers, green onions, chiles, optional corn and jalapenos, etc.) And guess what, no cooking required - none whatsoever on your part. Just thaw and serve. And since beans are full of protein, this salad is really filling.

Yoghurt and Spice Grilled Chicken Skewers
Tender chicken breast pieces get a marinade of tangy yoghurt, paprika, onion, garlic and chili, giving them lots of flavor and a Greek/Moroccan flair. All you have to do is skewer and grill them.
(low carb - easy to split - easy at home - kid friendly)

Grilled Pork Chops with Maple-Cranberry Glaze
These chops start with a dry rub made up of no less than 9 spices. Not hot, just flavorful, the rub is followed by a tart yet sweet tangy glaze of cranberries and real maple syrup for basting and serving on the side. This is one not to be missed. Grill and stovetop.

Balsamic Flank Steak ~ $2 surcharge
A delicious marinade of balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, shallots and a touch of sugar create a meal where not one morsel will be left! The small amount of sugar caramelized while cooking, forming a slight but delicious crust. Adults and kids will enjoy this one! Grill it.

Cilantro Turkey Burgers
For a different and healthier burger, try ground turkey! We make it moist by adding a variety of seasonings, fresh cilantro, chopped onions and a few secret ingredients. These burgers are best cooked on a skillet and served drizzled with green chile yoghurt sauce on a plate (no buns).

Basil Herbed Chicken Parmesan ~ NEW!
Last year I worked with a very talented chef who taught me a great secret to preserving fresh herbs. We have modified the traditional chicken parmesan so it delivers all the amazing flavors of garden basil. A must try! Serve on top of angel hair pasta with olive oil and cheese for a summery treat (included).

Chorizo and Green Chile Quiche
Perfect for brunch, lunch or anytime.  Spicy chorizo sausage, mild green chiles and cheddar in an egg and cream custard cooked inside a deep-dish pie crust. Your choice of real eggs (you crack 'em) or egg substitute for lower cholesterol (we'll assume you are going with real eggs unless you tell us otherwise). Bakes in the oven.

Fish Tacos
Lime-seasoned tilapia fillets are paired with tangy salsa, shredded cheese and corn tortillas. This dish is very popular with our customers, and it's a great way to get your kids to eat fish! You'll feel like you are in Baja on vacation, margarita on hand (or in Sayulita, like I was last year!). Cooks quickly in a skillet.

A LITTLE BIT MORE INVOLVED AT HOME

Beef and Broccoli Noodles
Egg noodles, ground beef and broccoli shine on this Asian-inspired dish that your family will love. Perfect for a busy evening, this dish cooks quickly on your stovetop.
(easy to split - a bit harder at home - kid friendly - full meal)

Soy Crumbles and Broccoli Noodles ~ $3 surcharge

Traci's Chicken Pot Pie
After the arrival of each of my kids, my neighbor, and friend, Traci delivered a chicken pot pie to our doors.  It was so good it almost made up for the sleepless nights. This recipe is based on hers and had become a favorite at Dinner by the Dozen over the years. Flaky pastry tops kid-friendly veggies and chicken in a creamy sauce. Cooks on the stovetop and oven. To make it healthier, we have omitted the bottom crust, but you won't miss it.
(cannot be split - more complicated at home - kid friendly - full meal)
