What if you could prepare 6 or 12 meals for
your family—a diverse, healthy menu that
you can customize—in only 2 hours?
With Dinner by the Dozen you can.
We do all the menu planning, shopping, chopping, dicing and cleaning.
You simply sign up in advance for 6 or 12 meals and show up to assemble
them (i.e. measure ingredients and put them in containers). Or ask
us to assemble them for you! The assembly takes approximately
2 hours in a friendly, fun environment, and you go home with 6 or 12
meals, ready to freeze. Then, during the week, all you have to do
is thaw and finish cooking (we provide easy cooking instructions).
This is a great way to learn a few tricks to improve your cooking,
and try new foods too.
Just imagine: less time spent grocery shopping,
an answer to the "what's for dinner?" question and the
ability to serve your family something that YOU made, without the
hassle! And the sessions are fun too!
12 or 6 meals? You decide: sign up for 12 or 6 meals. For those
with limited freezer space, the 6-meal option may work better. But
the 12-meal option gives you the best deal. Space
is limited, so e-mail or call us to reserve a spot!
The cost? For meals that
you assemble, the cost is $227 for 12 meals and $125 for 6
(with tax, $234.95 and $129.38 respectively).

12 meals |
6 meals |
| Price |
$227.00 =
$234.95 w/tax |
$125.00 =
$129.38 w/tax |
| Per meal (serves 4-6 people) |
$18.92 per meal |
$20.83 per meal |
| Per serving |
$3.15 per serving |
$3.47 per serving |
So, that means there's a 10%
discount on the price per meal when you buy 12 meals, over
buying just 6. If you want assembled meals, the discount per
meal is even greater when you buy 12 meals: over 20%!
If you want us to
assemble your meals, please add $35 for 12 meals and $30 for 6 as a
service fee. In addition, if you'd like us to split your meals when
we are assembling them, there is a $5 flat fee to account for extra
packaging and labor.

There are other cooking schools and "make and take" or
meal prep services in the Denver/Boulder
Metro area. What makes Dinner by the Dozen special?
- The quality of our service:
since we are not a franchise but a proud small business you will
receive personalized attention every step of the way, from
registration to meal assembly to check-out. Ask us questions and
we will reply promptly and provide as much information as
possible.
- The quality of our recipes: all
recipes are personally tested by Dinner by the Dozen's owner or
manager, both culinary school graduates. We only offer recipes that
we would serve our family and friends - no mystery
casseroles here.
- The quality of our food: we
offer restaurant-quality ingredients. We always use all-natural
chicken (and use all-natural pork when available), extra virgin
olive oil, gourmet spices and fresh ingredients as much as
possible. And all
at a very reasonable price, comparable to other
meal prep services and cheaper than the supermarket.
- And we are also lots of fun! Latin music, anybody?
